Monday Afternoons

Women's Study: Made To Crave
Time: Monday, 12:00PM - 1:00PM
Dates: January 09 - March 26
Where:
Room 162A
Instructor: Diane Oesterle

Has food become more about frustration than fulfillment? Made to Crave is the missing link between a woman's desire to be healthy and the spiritual empowerment necessary to make that happen. Author Lysa TerKeurst personally understands the battle that women face.

In Made To Crave, Lysa will help you: (1)Break the cycle of "I'll start again on Monday," and feel good about yourself today, (2) Stop agonizing over numbers on the scale and make peace with your body, (3)Replace rationalization that leads to diet failure with wisdom that leads to victory, and (4)Reach your healthy goals and grow closer to God through the process.

This book is not a how-to manual to the latest, greatest dieting plan. Made to Crave is a helpful companion to use alongside whatever healthy eating approach you choose. This is a book and Bible study to help you find the "want to" in how to make healthy lifestyle changes.

You will need $18.00 to purchase the Made to Crave book and workbook.

Genuine - A study of the book of James
Time: Wednesday, 6:30PM - 7:30PM
Dates: January 4 - February 29
Where: Room 154/155
Instructor: Mich Adams

Women Only - There is an age-old adage that says "Don't believe everything you read." This lets us know that we need to analyze everything we read. We need to compare the material and test the material. Thankfully, God's Word is one book where it is justified and good to believe everything you read. In a world where people are accustomed to living by the wrong advice they have read, James urges us to be "doers" of the one source we can believe every time we read it. Join us as we study the book of James together, and learn what genuine, religion, faith and wisdom are all about.

The Truth Project

Dates: September 11 - November 27
Where: Room 157/158
Instructor: Dr. Dan Bragg
Cost: There is no cost for this class

Have you ever noticed that many of today's Christ-followers live a lot like those who don't follow Christ? We rarely experience a personal sense of significance, we spend our money and time on things that fail to satisfy, and many wonder what life's ultimate purpose really is. It seems we are losing our bearings as a people and a nation.

Focus on the Family has put together a series called The Truth Project to help Christians find their bearings and approach life through a Biblical worldview. The Truth Project is a DVD-based study of 12, one-hour lessons, taught by Dr. Del Tackett. Each lesson discussed how important it is to have a Christian worldview in our Monday through Saturday lives and how we can actually do that. Dr. Dan Bragg, superintendent at Emmanuel Christian Academy, will facilitate the videos and guide the group in discussion. This study is open for any age, but would especially be a great help to those raising children.

While this is a series, it's not a problem if you can't make every week because each individual lesson will give you some great takeaways on its own.
