Welcome to The Ark, First Christian's Nursery Ministry! 
The Bible tells us in Psalm 127:3 that "children are a gift from the Lord." This God-given trust is vitally important to all of us. Both parents and church workers play an essential and influential role in making God’s love real to these little ones. What better way can they learn of God’s love and care than when their physical and emotional needs are met through love, cuddling, being played with, sung to, and rocked?

A Comforting Environment
We try to provide safe, quiet and gentle care while taking advantage of the opportunity to teach babies through association and feelings—feelings that later develop into concept and attitudes about God, going to church, and other people. It is our desire and goal to become an extension of your home, providing both quality care and a secure environment for your child.

On Sunday mornings, childcare is lovingly provided for our newborns up to 2 years old.

Nursery II - Barnyard Buddies
10-15 months

Nursery III - Sea Skippers
16-23 months

Nursery IV - Jungle Jumpers
24 months - promotion

On Sunday evenings our nursery provides childcare for children 2 years of age and younger. The nursery also provides childcare on Wednesday evenings for infants and toddlers up to 2 years of age.

Welcome, New Baby!
The arrival of a new baby is a “blessed event” for every family, and it definitely is to our First Christian Family. Every new baby born is announced in the church bulletin, then our Newborn Ministry Team makes a visit to the new baby taking a fresh flower and a gift.

Bible Story Time
During the Sunday School, hour the children in Nursery III and Nursery IV will have a Bible story and an age appropriate short lesson. This time helps to prepare the little ones for when they move out of our nursery and into the Sunday School program.

Sign-In and Pick-Up Procedures
When you sign your child in be assured of our care for your precious child. We ask that you fill out the sign in sheet as well as the coordinating numbered three part label. We ask that you provide all data requested on the three part label each time you leave your child so we can meet all his/her needs. The small part of the label will be placed on the diaper bag; the second section goes on your child’s back. The third part is our security tag which is taken with you and is to be presented upon retrieving your child. Please know that if you are needed during the course of the service, your child’s number will appear on the paging monitors located in the sanctuary. Only parents with the security tag will be permitted to pick up the baby. To avoid confusion we ask that only one parent call for your child and that you do not enter or open the door. For your protection and ours we cannot release your child to anyone except the person with the security tag. Please be sure to pick up your child promptly after the services.
